At Grace, we believe giving attention to the Scriptures—with heart and mind—powerfully reshapes those who do it. So our preaching always aims to take a close, thoughtful look at what Scripture says. Since God gave us the sixty-six books of the Bible and no more, we believe what’s there must be what we need. So rather than assuming we need certain things and looking for small bits of Bible to speak to those needs, we should go the Bible and let it correct our thinking about what we need. When we do that, we discover that we don’t need “solutions” and “answers” nearly as much as we need God Himself—true knowledge of Him and His will.

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; ⁸The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; ⁹The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. ¹⁰More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. ¹¹Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.
